New Zealand Wine Discovery

This 11 day-journey will tantalize your taste buds, as well as broaden your palette.

New Zealand is known as the adventure capital of the world, but it is also known for its amazing wines.

Start your wine trek off right in the Hawke’s Bay area, known as the famous start (or end) to the New Zealand Wine Trail.  It also marks the beginning of New Zealand’s wine history, all the way back to the 1800’s.  Revel in the sunshine, as well as the delicious red and white wines of this vineyard region.  You’ll visit five to six wineries, including a winemaking tour.

Move onto Wellington, the dining and artistic hub of New Zealand.  Surrounded almost entirely by beaches and bays, almost every location has a breathtaking view of the Cook Straight.

Join a wine tour train excursion through Martinborough.  Stop by an amazing property- the Bay of Many Coves in Queen Charlotte Sound, where the owner will make a special three-course meal.  In the Marlborough region you will have the chance to learn about matching wine and food, enjoy private tours of the wineries and try Prenzel schnapps, olive oils and chocolates.

After a water taxi and short flight, you’ll find yourself among the boutique vineyards and scenery of Central Otago.  Picturesque valleys and dramatic gorges transfer you into a dreamlike area full of wine, history and adventure.  Enjoy a tour of 4 wineries and explore the historic Old Cromwell Town for a day, before ending your delectable journey.
