Time 2 Go Albert Town

Until recently only a farming settlement, Albert Town is located at the confluence of the Clutha and Hawea Rivers.

Albert Town is located to the east of Wanaka in Otago, New Zealand. Less than 10 minutes drive from Wanaka's main shopping precinct, Albert Town is often seen as an outer suburb of the town.  The population boom in this area has led to much new development.

The town was named after Prince Albert of Saxe-Coburg and Gotha. Albert Town was formerly called Newcastle.

Time 2 Go publishes a seasonal 'accommodation' favourites list for the wider Lake Wanaka region including Albert Town, Wanaka, Cardrona, Beacon Point, Luggate and Lake Hawea areas to assist you with your travel planning.
