A good balance of beginner, intermediate and advanced runs spread over 345 hectares of terrain means Cardrona is ideal for all abilities. Natural features in addition to a large selection of terrain park features make Cardrona one big playground. Quiet learners slopes make it the perfect place to learn to ski or board. Wind down after hitting the slopes in one of five cafés and restaurants, including a noodle bar and pizza café.
Treble Cone is the South Island’s largest ski resort with 550 hectares of terrain. It’s best suited for intermediate and advanced skiers and boarders due to naturally longer, steeper runs and more challenging features. Situated on the edge of Lake Wanaka, the views from the top are breathtaking. Backcountry enthusiasts have ample room to explore.
Snow Park is a one-of-a-kind resort specializing in world-class terrain park. From boxes to rails, half-pipes to wall rides, there is so much to do. On-mountain restaurant The Woolshed is the ideal place to cosy up by the fire or relax on the sundeck and watch some amazing freestyle action in the park below. “Night Riding” takes place three times a week between 5pm and 9pm.
New Zealand’s premier cross country ski resort is nestled in the Cardrona Valley just one hour from Queenstown. 50kms of varied trails wind through the Pisa Range, connecting a series of backcountry huts. Cross country skiing is great for fitness and an excellent way to explore the backcountry, but dog sledding, snowmobiling and sledding make easy alternatives!
