Day 1: Auckland - Waitomo - Rotorua
Travel south through to Waitomo Caves for a boat ride under a galaxy of glowworms before travelling east to Rotorua. Tonight enjoy a Maori Hangi (feast) and concert.
Day 2: At Rotorua
This morning see roaring geysers and boiling mud pools at Te Puia thermal area, tame trout and Kiwi at Rainbow Springs and see performing sheep and dogs at the Agrodome. Your afternoon is at leisure to enjoy the many activities on offer.
Day 3: Rotorua - Wellington
Continue south to Lake Taupo, before passing the majestic peaks of Tongariro, Ngauruhoe and Ruapehu. Continue to Wellington.
Day 4: At Wellington
A morning tour of the city will take in the Parliament buildings, Old St Pauls Cathedral, Mt Victoria and an optional ride on the cable car.
Day 5: Wellington - Nelson
Cross Cook Strait on the Interislander Ferry passing the Marborough sounds and Picton before heading onto Nelson.
Day 6: Nelson - Abel Tasman National Park - Nelson
A full day excursion to the stunning Abel Tasman National Park. Board your launch at the Kaitereteri Beach for your scenic cruise. Choose to remain onboard your launch for the duration of the cruise, or disembark to walk part of the track.
Day 7: Nelson - Punakaiki - Glaciers
A full day travelling down the famous Punakaiki Pancake Rocks, before continuing on through Greymouth to the glaciers.
Day 8: At Glaciers
A whole day is available for optional excursions on the glaciers.
Day 9: Glaciers - Queenstown
Today head south and inland through the Haast pass to Lake Wanaka, before continuing on through the rugged Kawarau Gorge to Queenstown.
Day 10: Queenstown
Explore this lakeside town, the adventure capital of New Zealand.
