New Zealand's mild climate and unique and beautiful environment make us a great choice for planning a golf vacation. Whether your golfing is about scoring eagles, saving bogeys or just enjoying a couple of drives in with friends, the challenge and the beauty of the course are important. As avid golfers ourselves, we are dedicated to introducing you to a some of New Zealand's best golf courses:
Rotorua Golf Club
Situated in the tourist hub of New Zealand, Rotorua Golf Club is one of New Zealand’s leading golf courses and one of the most unique in the world. The course is set on Arikikapakapa Reserve, a stunning geothermal park of native bush, steaming hot lakes and bubbling mud pools. Challenging for all skill levels, this 18-hole links-style course is also great in most weather conditions due to the pumice ground which allows for rapid drainage after rain.
Akarana Golf Club
The feature of Akarana is its compactness; this 18-hole golf course is not one of great length as the club sits in Auckland’s busy inner west. It has two distinct nines, with the full layout measuring about 5800 metres from the back tees. It is set on parkland with challenging bunkers, elevated greens, and outstanding water features. Akarana is one of the closest golf courses to the Auckland CBD. This course makes for a nice break from the hustle and bustle of the city.
Hastings Golf Club
This course is consistently ranked among the Top Ten Golf Courses in New Zealand. Hasting Golf Club, also known as Bridge Pa, offers players an 18-hole championship course only 10 minutes from the city centre. The course is set amid picturesque surroundings with a great mix of holes to test and challenge golfers of all skill levels.
Manor Park Golf Club
This Lower Hutt (Wellington) club offers golfers a demanding 18-hole tree-lined course set along the banks of the lovely Hutt River and among native bush. Players can also enjoy the clubs extensive practice facilities which includes a par 3 practice hole, driving nets, fairway practice area and separate 2-tiered chipping, putting and bunker practice green.
Nelson Golf Club
Just 10 minutes from the centre of downtown Nelson, this beautiful 18 hole championship links course sits next to the picturesque waters of Tasman Bay. This area of New Zealand enjoys some of the best climates in the country, with high sunshine hours, making Nelson Golf Club a popular golfing destination. You can visit and play this challenging links course year round.
