Queenstown/Lake Wanaka

  • Treble Cone: Boasting the longest vertical rise in the Southern Lakes, the ski area is a 35 minute drive from Wanaka. 
     
  • Snow Park: Experience the playground of jumps, rails, boxes and a quarter pipe at the freestyle haven located only 35 km from Wanaka. 
     
  • Snow Farm: All levels can go cross country skiing with a variety of trails to choose from at Snow Farm, located 35 km from Wanaka.  

Canterbury

  • Porters: Christchurch’s closest ski field is just over an hours’ drive where you can ski and snowboard the 230 ha of terrain. 

Mackenzie

  • Ohau Snow Fields: In the Mackenzie Country you can experience winter skiing and snowboarding on 125 ha with three lifts and two terrain parks. 
     
  • Roundhill: Enjoy the views of Lake Tekapo and Mt Cook as you skiing and snowboard the 550 ha of terrain and Australasia’s biggest vertical drop. 
     
  • Mt Dobson: With the highest alpine car park in New Zealand and 400 ha of skiable terrain, there is something for all levels at Mt Dobson, just over 2 hours’ drive from Christchurch.
