Time 2 Go The Remarkables

Sometimes referred to as 'Mordor' from The Lord of the Rings Trilogy films, The Remarkables provide the background for many photographs in Queenstown.

Mirrored in Lake Wakatipu's placid surface, The Remarkables provide a backdrop of massive sierra-like snow-capped mountain range to the Queenstown region.  On fine evenings, the rocky jigsaw ridge of The Remarkables glows pink as it reflects the sunset.

During the winter months The Remarkables skifield provides snowboarding and skiing that rivals nearby skifields, rewarding visitors that dare to travel on the treacherous unpaved and often unnerving road.  The ski area caters to all skill levels, terrain rated as 30% advanced, 40% intermediate and 30% beginners.

Time 2 Go publishes a seasonal 'accommodation' favourites list for the wider Queenstown region including Arthurs Point, Fernhill, Frankton, Kelvin Heights, Sunshine Bay and Wakatipu Views (Queenstown Hill and the road between Queenstown and Frankton).  The list also includes outer lying regions such as Arrowtown, Dalefield, Gibbston, Lake Hayes, Lower Shotover, Glenorchy, Kinloch and Kingston areas to assist you with your travel planning.
