The Truman Track track on the "Coast Road" of the spectacular West Coast, is a short 15 minute walk to the coastline. The track is almost fully wheelchair acessible apart from the last 50m from the bush line to the plateau/beach area (the beach can be safely explored at low tide).
The track takes you through podacarp, nikau palms and rata trees creating a sub-tropical rainforest feel down to a truely rugged West Coast beach. The track emerges out onto a spectacular coastline with limestone cliffs, a blowhole (this works best at low tide) and a waterfall that falls onto the rock strewn beach.
