New Zealand Ocean Swim Series - Christchurch Crown
Saturday 4th March 2017 7.00am – 1.00pm
Corsair Bay, Lyttelton, Christchurch
The fifth of seven events in the New Zealand Ocean Swim Series, Christchurch Crown was named based on the interesting 3.3km ‘I’m Going Long’ course shape which weaves in and out of three bays on the return leg to Corsair Bay.
Consisting of four different swim events, the Christchurch Crown provides an ocean swim event for all ages and abilities:
‘I’m Going Long’ - a 3.3km swim which weaves in and out of Rapaki Bay, Cass Bay and Corsair Bay.
‘Step it Up’ - a 1000m swim triangular course off Corsair Bay.
‘Give it a Go’ – a 500m swim triangular course off Corsair Bay, a great introduction to open water swimming.
'OceanKids' - a swim for children aged between 7-12 years old, consisting of a 200m shallow water triangular swim off Corsair Bay, lined with Surf Life Saving NZ guards.
