Home to a vast array of species including albatross, penguins, petrels and marine mammals. NZ Endemic species includes Snares Crested Penguins, Auckland and Campbell Island Flightless Teal and New Zealand Hooker's Sea Lion. Much of the flora is also endemic to these islands, Campbell Island has outstanding examples of megherbs for which the island is renown. In the Ross Sea when ice, weather and operational requirements permit there are historic huts and sites to explore.
