Queenstown camping spots

It's easy to find a scenic & secluded spot to camp just out of Queenstown.

A popular camping area, Moke Lake is a fantastic place to drop in and spend a fun day with friends or family picnicking, swimming, kayaking or kicking a ball around.

Take a bike, kayak or get your walking shoes on and explore the lake and surrounding tracks. The 7km Moke Lake Loop in particular is a picturesque, reasonably easy walk for all ages.

Another great stopoff on the way to Glenorchy is Twelve Mile Delta down by the lake. It’s a lovely camping spot – plenty of peace and scenery with a gorgeous view across the lake to The Remarkables.

The Twelve Mile track is popular with runners and mountain bikers and links up with a track that takes you into Bob’s Cove, one of the most beautiful and secluded bays near Queenstown.
