The View from Coronet Peak
A quick easy drive with a great view.
Add toTrip Planner
Coronet Peak, Queenstown’s closest and most popular ski field, is well worth a drive winter or summer because of its breathtaking views south across Lake Wakatipu and the smaller nearby Lake Hayes. Access is easy – the ski field base building is only 25 minutes’ drive from Queenstown and it’s sealed road all the way.
Soak up the views from the road or enjoy a bird's eye view of the Wakatipu basin during a tandem paraglide or hang glide with one of the paragliding/hang-gliding operators that fly from the peak.
