Why Ski New Zealand?

New Zealand offers a complete destination experience beyond just skiing and snowboarding. Why should you go there?

New Zealand is a fantastic ski holiday destination, for all levels from beginner to advanced skiers and riders. It may not have the towering mountains of the Canadian Rockies, or the cosy chalets in the snow of Europe, but it does have something you won't find anywhere else, a geniune holiday experience both on and off the slopes.

Take Queenstown for example, a year round destination with the complete infrastructure to support the busy ski season. Head to Coronet Peak or the Remarkables for a day of skiing, but be prepared for more action when the lifts stop running, as Queenstown has so much more. Head by the Skyline Gondola for beautiful views, nice restaurants or even some nighttime bungy action. You can choose from a number of Restaurants and Bars in town, or hit the shops to grab some NZD bargains!

Feel like a day off skiing? Take a stroll down the main street and choose an adrenalin filled adventure, such as canyon swing, jetboating, skydiving, bungee jumping and so much more. For a more relaxing experience, take a scenic drive, go to Milford Sound or cruise on the TSS Earnslaw on Lake Wakatipu. The advantage of the NZ Superpass and the OnePassNZ, the two ski passes you have to choose from, is that they can be exchanged for any number of these or similar activities. Don't feel like skiing today? No problem, get your money's worth in a Bungee jump or a Lake Cruise. Too windy at the top of the mountain? No problem, how about a movie or putt putt golf.

If you are staying in Wanaka or Mt Hutt the story is the same. Always something new to choose from or try if you have finished skiing for the day or would prefer to do something different. It makes NZ a great snow holiday destination for a family or small group if not everyone is a die hard skier.

All Ski Travel packages come with both the NZ Superpass (Coronet Peak, Remarkables and Mt Hutt) and the OnePassNZ (Cardrona, Treble Cone, Snow Park + more), unless you are going to Methven, then it's just the Superpass. So exercise your freedom and flexibility, and head to NZ to ski this season!
