There's also lots to do whilst you are here, see the Rainbow Warrior Masts, the Dargaville Museum, The Kauri Museum, Kai Iwi Lakes, the longest driveable beach (Ripiro) with entrances at Glinks Gully, Baylys Beach, Mahuta Gap, Omamari Beach and at Pouto. Ride on the Rail Carts along the rail lines - 2 1/2 hour journey. Have a wood turning lesson.
