Rotorua Activities

Explore the thermal areas in Rotorua and experience the activities unique to the town.

  1. Polynesian Spa: Dip into the thermal waters at Polynesian Spa to relax and soothe your muscles.  There are four different pool areas to choose from including the deluxe lake spa with views over Lake Rotorua, private pools where you can enjoy a more secluded experience, a family spa to take the kids, and the adult pools and priest spa which has a more social environment.
  2. Skyline: Take the gondola up the mountain to see the spectacular views overlooking Rotorua and go on an exciting luge ride and then enjoy a bite to eat at the restaurant.  The luge has three different tracks you can race down on a three-wheel cart and is suitable for all ages (kids under six can ride with an adult).  There are two different places to eat, The Terraces Café which is more casual and the Cableway Restaurant which is more formal for lunch or dinner.
  3. Zorb Rotorua: Head down a track in an inflatable tube globe as you go head over heels experiencing the thrills and excitement of the ride.  You can choose to go on a dry or wet ride as you spin around on your way to the bottom of the three different track options.  Ride with your friends or by yourself.
  4. Wai-O-Tapu Thermal Wonderland: Rotorua’s natural thermal volcanic activity can be experienced by visiting the steaming hot springs, Lady Knox Geyser which erupts daily up to 20 metres high, bubbling mud pools and unique varying colours at the Champagne Pools.  The walk through the thermal wonderland takes up to 75 minutes to see and experience the different areas.
