Proximity

Drive north from Queenstown to the beautiful Lake Pukaki in the Aoraki Mt Cook National Park. This glacial-fed turquoise lake is dominated by Australasia’s highest peak (Aoraki Mt Cook) and is the place to explore New Zealand’s longest glacier – the Tasman Glacier. Accessed by helicopters and ski planes, it is excellent for intermediate skiers. Or take a boat tour to explore the glacier’s spectacular terminal lake.
