On the unlikely occasion of an extreme weather event, we would contact you to advise of any cancellation or postponement. You can cancel your tour up to 24 hours prior to the tour departure time then your payment will not be refunded. The same applies if you aren't at your pick-up location at the time of departure. We are happy to refund in full any cancellations made 24 hours or more before the tour departure time.
Enjoy an unforgettable 3 1/4 hour 4WD journey across 3 privately-owned farms with 6000 sheep, 400 cattle and 100 horses in Ohariu Valley. These farms also have Wellington's newest wind farm, with 26 wind turbines powering Wellington city.
We offer a pick-up and drop-off service from the CentrePort cruise terminal and Wellington i-SITE centre. Stops on the tour include feeding wild Kaimanawa horses, wild eels, standing under a 111 metre tall wind turbine and morning tea at our Shepherd's cabin located on the cliffs overlooking the Cook Strait and South Island with some of the most spectacular views New Zealand has to offer.
