Teichelman’s boutique bed and breakfast, Hokitika

Situated in the heart of Hokitika, Teichelmann's is an integral part of West Coast history. Dr Ebenezer Teichelmann was a renowned surgeon, mountaineer, photographer and conservationist. This historic home and medical rooms has been meticulously preserved with many wonderful examples of memorabilia from the era.

Frances and Brian are the perfect kiwi hosts. With five tastefully decorated double bedrooms plus Teichy's garden cottage, a wonderful garden studio unit, there are ample options.

Teichelmann's is perfectly situated for exploring the national park areas of the beautiful West Coast. Many of the well renowned art and craft centres are within walking distance. The beach is a 5 minute walk, golf is 8 minutes drive. Hokitika Gorge is a rewarding day trip.

Frances and Brian are only to happy to help with travel plans, arranging dinner bookings at adjacent restaurants or you may choose to relax and enjoy the surroundings.

Breakfast is served in the dining room and is not to be missed, delicious and generous and great fortification for the explorations of the day ahead.
