Situated at the head of Picton harbour in the Queen Charlotte Sound, Kaipupu Sanctuary feels a million miles away from the town, yet only takes 10 mins by boat. A 2.7km circular walking track takes visitors through native New Zealand bush with stunning views across the inner Marlborough Sounds. The Sanctuary is home to a variety of birds including tui, bellbird, kereru, fantail and little blue penguins. New Zealand fur seal also regularly visit the Sanctuary over winter.
