Nestled within the South Canterbury country-side, near Geraldine, on the main route from Christchurch to Queenstown, is The Tin Shed.

As you meander your way through the South Island chances are you’ll most likely come across The Tin Shed, which is located near to Geraldine, on the main highway from Christchurch to Queenstown.

The Tin Shed is hard to miss because it is quite literally a Tin Shed !– a renovated farm-style tin shed building that is home to authentic crafted woollen jumpers, merino knit-ware, stylish home-wares and health & beauty products.

The Tin Shed is surrounded by farmland  and nearby friendly, barnyard animals are kept.  So during your visit you may come across lamas, lambs, sheep and chickens…..maybe there will be a few other surprises in the barnyard.

With a proud local history to draw upon, The Tin Shed is an ideal place to stop, stretch your legs, admire the farm environs and stock up on warm clothes for your travels or as gifts. 

Conveniently, The Tin Shed offers a mailing service back to your home country so you don’t have to carry gifts around on your travels.  Also if you mail items directly home, you don’t pay GST, which currently is 15% of the item.
