Hanmer Springs is only 90 minutes from Christchurch and has a range of activities to keep everyone entertained. So plan a day trip now, or better still relax and stay overnight.
To save being disappointed I suggest contacting the Spa well in advance for bookings as weekend appointments fill up quickly.
