Golfing in the Queenstown Area

There are several golf courses close to Queenstown. Each offers a different experience, but all have one thing in common: spectacular and dramatic scenery!

Kelvin Heights Golf Course

Perched on the Kelvin Heights peninsula surrounded by the glacier-fed waters of Lake Wakatipu, this is one of the most spectacularly situated golf courses in the world. With views across to the Queenstown CBD, up to The Remarkables and down the lake, there is a photo opportunity on every fairway and green.

Frankton Golf Course

Ideal for the casual, beginner or senior golfer, this 9 hole course is conveniently located in the suburb of Frankton, not far from Queenstown Aiport. There is a driving range at $6 bucket of balls on site as well for those wanting to hone up their golf swing.

Arrowtown Golf Course

On the outskirts of the historic gold-mining village of Arrowtown is a 'must-play' golf course. Voted the 20th best golf course in New Zealand, Arrowtown Golf Course offers a unique experience on every hole. Dotted with historic stone cottage ruins to the impressive towering trees and rock formations, Arrowtown Golf Course offers fantastic golf in a unique setting.

Millbrook Resort Golf Course

Voted the best golf resort in Australasia, Millbrook has firmly established itself on the golfing world stage. Many a famous guest has played its fairways including Bill Clinton. Millbrook now offers 27 holes of premium golfing with the recent addition of the Coronet Nine. Nestled in the heart of the Wakatipu Basin, Millbrook's stunning setting and scenery provide ample photo opportunities. 

The Hills

Michael Hill's exclusive golf course is situated on the outskirts of Arrowtown in the Wakatipu Basin. Native flora, beautiful sculptures, wetland areas and waterways enhance the already stunning setting. Non-member playing is permitted by contacting the course manager directly. The Hills hosted the New Zealand Open from 2007-2010 and is now included on the NZ PGA Pro-Am championship tour.

Jack's Point

On the road that travels south from Queenstown is Jack's Point Golf Course. Spatially sandwiched between the 2300m rockface of The Remarkables Mountain Range and the Kingston Arm of Lake Wakatipu, there is dramatic scenery at every turn. Jack's Point offers 18 holes of spectacular golf on holes that have been developed in keeping  with the natural rise and fall of the beautiful landscape.
