Lisa Cornelissen
Owner and operator of Martinborough TOP 10 Holiday Park. Lover of good food and wine.
With award-winning Pinot Noir and fresh, local produce Martinborough Wine Village has a fantastic range of dining experiences.
One of the reasons we moved to Martinborough was the great selection of cafes and restaurants, options include relaxed winery lunches, good pub grub and fine dining. Just what you would expect at the heart of the Classic NZ Wine Trail and just an hour from NZ's food capital Wellington. We eat out regularly and listen to feedback from our Martinborough TOP 10 Holiday Park guests. Not a comprehensive list but there’s something for everyone here.
Café Medici
Open 7 days for breakfast and lunch and Friday & Saturday evenings for dinner. We love the Spanish Eggs for breakfast and the Pork Belly at any time of day. In fact, if we’re honest, there’s very little we don’t love about this place.
Cool Change Bar & Eatery
Open 7 days for dinner from 4pm weekdays and for lunch from 12pm on the weekends. Cool Change is a place to relax, listen to some very cool tunes, taste/drink the finest local wine and have a meal in their quirky dining room. Personal service, with a very good atmosphere.
Bloom at Murdoch James
Open Thurs to Monday for lunch, Bloom’s seasonal menus focus on fresh local produce with a choice of Murdoch James Estate wines. Taste at the cellar door to find your perfect wine match. We love the food, the atmosphere and the service here.
Siam Kitchen
Authentic Thai cuisine and one of the best value meals in town. Eat in or take away, this is a favourite for a casual dinner.
Vynfields
Wine tasting, gourmet platters and more in a beautiful historic house, set in 5.3 hectares of organic vines. This is a favourite lunch stop for our guests on the Wine Trail.
The Village Café
A Martinborough institution. Open 7 days for breakfast and lunch. Very popular on a Friday night for their pizza & pasta evening, which is fast becoming a favourite with the locals.
Wendy Campbell's French Bistro
Open Wednesday to Sunday for dinner, bookings are essential. The hand-written French menu is based upon the best fresh ingredients sourced locally. A special occasion sort of place.
Tirohana Cellars
Our top pick for a romantic night out with a grown-up ambience, excellent service and views over the vineyard.
Cornucopia Bistro at Aylstone
Opened September 2011. This is a bistro offering from the team responsible for Cornucopia café in Featherston. The dining space at Aylstone has been restyled beautifully, the menu looks promising and the wine list is excellent with a great range available by the glass.
Martinborough Hotel Bar and Grill
Under new management with a new menu, we're looking forward to seeing how this stalwart on the Martinborough Square develops.
