Stunning coastline from Charleston to Greymouth following SH6 - the Punakaiki coastline.
Ensure you allow plenty of time to stop and enjoy the magnificant scenic drive, following SH6 down the West Coast from Westport to Greymouth. From Charleston down, you are following the coastline - known locally as the coast road or the Punakaiki coastline. There are amazing rock formations, beautiful beaches and fantastic NZ flora and fauna. There are plenty of laybys to safely pullover for photographs or to take a meander on a remote West Coast beach.
