With winter well and truly in the door Seabreeze Holiday Park looks to the Whitianga Scallop Festival to brighten the mood.
While rugby fever has been sweeping the nation, the Whitianga Scallop Festival is one of the most awaited items on our calendar. Winter can seem to stretch on forever this time of the year, so a little bit of fun, food and music can really brighten the mood. The people, the bands, and of course the food and wine all combine to make for a magic weekend set on the Whitianga waterfront.
This year there will be over 50 cuisine stands turning out the delectable delicacy. With the perfect complement of music New Zealand performers like dDub, and seafood cooking demonstrations from Ray McVinnie Traceylee Hooton and Bonnie Muirhead.
Whitianga is just 2 ½ hours roadtrip of Auckland, Hamilton and Rotorua. Minutes away are three of New Zealand’s famous attractions - Cathedral Cove, Hot Water Beach and New Chums Beach, making a weekend of it means you can see them all.
As a celebration on the theme, Seabreeze Holiday Park has put together some great accommodation packages for festival goers. Packages include; a ticket, transport to and from, win and nibbles on arrival and accommodation in a self contained chalet. Prices from $195.
As a double wammy, book and sign up for the Coromandel Road Trip newsletter and you can also go in the draw to win $5k in cash!
