A large saucer-shaped object has appeared at Hanmer Springs Thermal Pools, and no, it’s not a close encounter of the third kind.
The SuperBowl ride, with its giant funnel-like dish, is a water ride with a difference.
Towering some 15 metres above the Hanmer Springs Thermal Pools complex riders will thrill to the speed and size of the SuperBowl reaching speeds of between 5-7 metres per second.
Starting with a thrilling drop through the giant aquatube, riders are then launched into the SuperBowl with centrifugal forces keeping them high on the wall for several turns, and ending with a drop through an enclosed finishing flume into the splashdown pool.
The whole ride is negotiated on either a two person or single person inflatable tube making it fun and easy for everyone.
The SuperBowl brings hours of family fun and super entertainment...... Whoo Hooo!
