Kids love the simple things - feeding the ducks and fish then off to the dinosaur park. A great family morning out.
There are so many wonderful and adventureous things to do in Wanaka that sometimes we forget the most simple of pleasures. Sitting by the lake this morning with my daughter made me think - everyone should do this with their kids.
Some fish food from the I-Site and some bread for the ducks and you have a great family outing. There are large trout and huge eels in the crystal clear water, and if you can distract the ducks long enough with some bread you can entice the eels close to the surface for everyone to marvel at.
There are stones to throw into the water, big sticks to waggle, ducks to chase then off to the dinosaur park where parents can grab a takeaway coffee from Gustos enjoy the awesome views whilst the kids run riot on the swings and slides.
Its tough living in paradise sometimes!
