Wylde Willow Garden, a garden of international significance, is located south of Dunedin in Abbotsford
The newest addition to Dunedin's prestigious club is Wylde Willow Garden, a country-style garden created on the banks of Abbots Creek, a private sanctuary a short drive south of the inner city. Inviting pathways follow the creek through a woodland of rhododendrons, maples and cornus underplanted with shade-loving perennials. Hundred-year old willows filter the sunlight. A cottage garden around Fran and Mike Rawling’s house displays hundreds of old roses. Perennials fill the beds adding monochromatic colours.
