Snowboarding on Mt Taranaki/Egmont. Be guided on this ultimate alpine experience. Climb the 2518m peak to get up to 1000 metres of boarding.
The climb up usually involves crampons and can be from a moderate snow route to steeper icy routes depending on the adventure you want. Boarding is for experts only. If this sounds intimidating, leave the board behind and be a normal mountaineer.
The best, but not the only, season for boarding is October to early December. boarding on New Year's Day is sometimes on! "Normal" mountaineering or mountain walking can be at any time of year.
Accommodation can be arranged on the mountain for longer days of action, or multi-day experiences.
