• Further pricing information: The "Motel" in Adventure Lodge and Motel was built especially to meet your needs so you can enjoy all mountain experiences. The motel caters for families, friends, independent travelers and the adventure seekers who want their own privacy and room. National Park village borders the World Heritage Tongariro National Park to the east and the Whanganui National Park, to the west. It is located near the base of Mt Ruapehu and Whakapapa ski field, at the intersection of SH 4 & SH 47 on the volcanic plateau. In winter the mountains provide a huge playground for skiers and snowboarders at New Zealand's biggest ski resort, Whakapapa ski field on Mount Ruapehu. In the summer the area comes alive with trampers for the Tongariro Crossing, mountain bikers, canoeing, rock climbers, adventure seekers and walkers of the many volcanic hikes. Get out into the wide open spaces and breath the air, drink the mountain water and enjoy. You will always want to come back for more!
