The Kumeu wine country is just 25 minutes from the heart of Auckland. Our family has lived in this region since 1922 and has seen many changes in this wine-producing district, which was the original wine growing region in NZ.
As we have 'grown-up' alongside many of these wineries, we give an historical overview when we take you wine-tasting in this area.
Some of the wineries here are Nobilo's (2nd largest producer in NZ), Matua wines (adjacent to the Hunting Lodge Restaurant), Kumeu River, Soljan's, Cooper's Creek, & many smaller boutique wineries.
