Our B&B is eco-friendly and located on a privately owned and managed, protected forest & wetland reserve on the edge of the New River Estuary, Invercargill, Southland. We have constantly worked on improving this reserve as a bird habitat in the 20 years we have lived here.
Pest animal control has had a measured result of a 400% increase in fernbird numbers over 2 years. Tuis and bellbirds provide a dawn chorus. Watch birds from the breakfast table.
We are only 10 minutes drive from Invercargill, 5 minutes to airport, 25 minutes to Bluff port. Our homestay is ideal for stopping over before or after Stewart Island, Catlins or Fiordland.
