About

In 1986 the Historic Bank of New Zealand Building was gifted to the people of Central Hawkes Bay to house a museum. This area is rich in history. Waipawa being one of the oldest inland town in New Zealand.

The museum houses a comprehensive collection of photographs and much to interest the genealogist. An extensive collection of local and national treasures ranges from History, Military, Taonga Maori and Technology.

The museum is open 7 days 10am - 4pm.
