Church Bay Studio Galery Waiheke Island

There is no place in New Zealand like this place in Church Bay on Waiheke Island.

We began construction in 1997 and finished about 3 years later. Made of earth brick from local quarries, with clay tile roof and marble floors, walls, counters, even marble footpaths, the whole place was made by hand, built by ordinary people, not professionals, and each part has a story.

There is a separate, two bedroom guesthouse, with self contained open kitchen, over-looking stunning views of the sea. Artstay guest house is marble tiled walls, and flooring with mud-brick construction.
