Chy an Dowr is a modern farmhouse situated on the Pouto Peninsula of the North Island just 39 kms from the Northland town of Dargaville. It overlooks Clark's Bay on the spectacular Kaipara Harbour and is a pleasant 15 minute stroll from the property and is ideal for swimming or sunbathing. A short 10 minute drive south is Kelly's Bay with its child friendly beach, boat ramp and fishing.
Pouto is 28 kms south of the property. Here you can beachcomb, fish from the rocks or surfcast.
Dargaville, with its museum, shops, cafes, bars and historic river walk is a 25 minute drive away. From here head north to the Lakes, Waipoua Forest and Hokianga Harbour or East to Whangarei and The Bay of Islands, a two and a half hour drive away.
