Guided tour to the Kaki/ Black Stilt Visitor Hide. An excellent opportunity to see the world's most endangered wading bird up close! Learn about this special bird and efforts by the Department of Conservation to save it from extinction.

The one hour tour runs daily from October to April at 9:30am and 4:30pm. Bookings at the Pukaki Visitor Centre are essential 30 minutes before the tour. Call +64 3 4353280 or e-mail lake.pukaki@xtra.co.nz.

You'll need your own transport to get 3 km south of Twizel.

Charges: $7.00 per child, $15.00 per adult, families $35.00. Large groups please contact the Department of Conservation via e-mail - kakivisitorhide@doc.govt.nz.
