The cottage is a fully restored Heritage building. It is a wilderness retreat, uniquely located, being the only residence in the Little Awakino valley. Sitting toward the sun with wonderful views over the mountains Duffies Cottage is the best preserved Irish steading in New Zealand.
The visitor can explore the restored cottage and surrounds, fish in the Waitaki River, tramp in the hills, horse trek by prior arrangement or simply kick back and enjoy the space and tranquility far from the maddening crowds. It is a serviced unit and assistance can be provided through the Kurow Holiday Park.
The starting tariff is $220 per night. The tariff is reduced by $20 each night thereafter.
