Erewhon Station is a 35,000 acre property at the top of the Rangitata Gorge. The Station includes a Clydesdale Horse Stud. This country provided the magnificent backdrop for the Lord of the Rings movie "The Two Towers". Edoras, the capital of Rohan, was located on Mt Sunday at neighbouring Mt Potts Station.
There is always plenty to see & do at the station all year round including snow slides in winter &admiring new foals in spring. As well as booking a clydesdale wagon ride guests have easy access to the back country for walks, hunting, swimming, fishing, photography, mountain biking or just relaxing in a peaceful environment.
