Foris Eco-tours offers daytrips from Rotorua combining a one-hour easy bush walk among the 60m-tall rainforest and rare birds in Whirinaki Forest with a fun grade 2/3 rafting trip down the Rangitaiki River, with an emphasis on conservation education.

Whirinaki Forest is one of the world’s premier rainforests – a "dinosaur forest" and biodiversity hot-spot – and the Rangitaiki River is renowned for its clean water and gorgeous scenery.
Tom Lynch runs the tours and he has many years' experience in conservation education and tourism - he's also a secondary school teacher with 20 years' experience rafting.
Pick up is 9.30am, back to Rotorua around 4pm. Lunch and all river gear provided. Walk-only option available.
