Glacier Rock Gallery is located in Lake Tekapo at the heart of New Zealand's South Island and exhibits paintings of the South Island and City Scapes of Europe by Colin MacLaren.
Light and atmospheric effects are the driving force for Colin's paintings. He is committed to the transparent effects of watercolur using a variety of techniques. His work is represented in corporate and private collections both here and overseas.
Born in Timaru Colin has painted all his life. He has had numerous exhibitions while also running an architectural practice in Christchurch before setting up his Gallery in 2006.
The Gallery is located in the lower storey of the Glacier Rock Bed & Breakfast at 35 Lochinver Avenue, Lake Tekapo.
