Visit the iconic Hedgerows Hydroponic strawberry farm. Guided tours through the installations which house 130,000 strawberry plants grown in a spray-free environment. The tour explains the techniques of hydroponics, the involvement of the bumble-bees, computerised management and plant husbandry. Lots of fun for the children with tastings from the plants, a petanque court, real fruit ice-creams and a picnic area. Self contained camper vans are welcome for overnight stops.
Fruit for sale includes the famous DESIRE 30-60 gm King size berries, first grade and seconds. We are part of the famouslocal loop around Blenheim trail available from the Blenheim, Kaikoura and Picton i-sites. Taste, experience and enjoy! An attraction to please all ages.
