Stunning landscapes, impressive portraits, quirky still life paintings & more by artist Karen James. All produced & displayed in her hilltop studio/gallery on the outskirts of Kaikoura.
The art of Karen James is displayed in her gallery at Homewood Hill, a small lifestyle property just North of Kaikoura. From her hilltop studio, she paints in oils, acrylics & pastels, as well as drawing in pencil & charcoal. The gallery is open most days and you are welcome to call whether you are staying in Kaikoura or just passing through.
Karen enjoys painting landscapes and portraits as well as still life and figure drawing. Her studio is perched on a small hill and affords breath taking views across farmlands from the mountains to the sea and on to the Kaikoura Peninsula. It is from here that she draws inspiration for her painting. She has regular weekly art classes & weekend workshops during the year.
