Kaimata Retreat has been architecturally designed and built in a modern vernacular using post-and-beam construction, with macrocarpa timber harvested from the property. The use of natural materials, passive solar design and ecological awareness contribute to the lodge’s depth of character.
The retreat offers 3 guest rooms with ensuite, and a comfortable open plan dining, lounge and kitchen area. If a room is reserved, guests share main facilities, or for complete ambiance reserve the lodge for exclusive-use. During summer months, dinner and luncheons are available with our seasonal chef who represents flair and passion for South Island southern wild fare.
