About

Haratu is situated on the waterfront of Kororareka (Russell) and is a two minute stroll from the passenger ferry or a ten minute drive from the car ferry.

Haratu is open daily from 10:00am - 4:00pm we are a Maori Art Gallery and Retail Shop

Purakau Walks - Daily guided walking tours around the historical township of Kororareka (Russell) explaining the maori history of this unique area.

Haratu is administered by the Kororareka Marae Society a charitable organisation committed to supporting local Maori wellbeing.
