We are completely surrounded by the Tongariro National Park offering the ideal hunting opportunity, for absolutely free ranging or managed trophy deer hunting.
Specialising in Sika deer trophies also Red and Fallow buck hunting. Trophies shot or bow hunted are measured with the SCI score. Black Forest Safaris have several record makers.
Lahar Farm is sub alpine, sloping land covered in native forest with bush clearings, panoramic views of the Mt Ruapehu massif.
All hunts are guided. We also do green/ camera hunts. Accommodation is Lahar Lodge.
