Lahar Lodge is a warm, private self contained, fully equipped log style home, separate from our homestead. A full kitchen allows you to self cater. Sleeps 6-8 people, in two queen beds, three single beds, & a fold out double couch.
Your alpine retreat is set on 600 hectares of sheep, deer and cattle grazing land, viewing the icon of volcanic Mt Ruapehu in the Tongariro World Heritage National Park.
Lahar Farm offers guided rifle/bow/camera stalking to Sika, Red, and Fallow deer trophies. Lahar lake has a dingy, canoes and trout fishing with nearby bird watching, farm walks, 4WD self drive or cycle 'Mountains to sea' & Old Horopito coach road. Skiing on Mt Ruapehu's Turoa & Whakapapa fields.
