Lake Ohau is a pristine, unique glacially formed lake, a real gem at the foot of the Southern Alps, on the rim of the Mackenzie Basin.You can enjoy the scenery from our homestay or can be out enjoying many of the outdoor activities, which are on our door step:fishing,biking, skiing,running,tramping or just strolling.The breathtaking scenery a stimulus for any budding or accomplished artist or photographer. We are in an ideal location for exploring the High Country either energetically or leisurely.
Our two areas of accommodation are comfortable, warm and inviting each having their own bathrooms and entrances. We offer a 3 course evening meal, in winter cooked on a Stanley wood burner, a full cooked breakfast available if wanted.
