Mararoa Cottage will suit visitors looking for a rural setting with beautiful views. The self contained cottage is close to the main house but has its own garden. This secure but private location is often appreciated by a woman travelling on her own.
The cottage sits on a terrace above the Mararoa River so is an great spot for anglers. Visiting children will love our pet sheep and hens and the space to run around. We use only green cleaners and laundry detergents. Composting and recycling available.
Your hosts Catherine Paul and 10 year old Iona are interested in conservation and are involved in a number of restoration projects. This is a wonderful area for birdwatching.
