Third generation, owner operator, NZ high country farmers farming 8,000 sheep and with over 15 years experience of opening their home and farming property for personalised tours for visitors.
Visit a large sheep farming property in the Lake Coleridge area one hour's drive west of Christchurch.
On arrival guests are welcomed by their hosts and taken on a coach or 4 wheel drive tour out onto the property where High Country farming activities are viewed and explained.
The day can also include a sheep dog mustering display, bottle feeding of lambs (in season) and meals in the farm homestead or garden.
A feature of the farm tour is the panoramic views of Mt Hutt and the Upper Rakaia Gorge visible from the property. Small groups and families welcome. Allow a minimum of two and a half hours.
