NZ's oldest & one of the largest Appaloosa Horse Studs is at Mountview Farmstay, especially established for farmstay guests. 12kms from Hamilton city centre. Only 2 kilometres from the city boundary.
We are the oldest and was of the largest Appaloosa Horse Studs in New Zealand. We now stand one stallion & four broodmares, foals and young stock. We also have cattle, and buy weaner cattle in, sheep and lambs. We have built a home just for farmstays with 360 degree views of the district and Mt Pirongia.
The farmstay is set up with one queen room with ensuite; one queen room and one twin bedroom with shared bathroom facilities. A sunny, warm house.
We are only two kilometres from the Mormon Temple, the city boundary and 12 kilometres from the centre of Hamilton. Bed and breakfast is included in price, and evening meal can be provided at $15 person. We invite you to enjoy our food and company, at our farmstay.
